Why just dentists? Why not all types of appointments? Only problem is that some places charge a "rescheduling fee" which, if a large number of people miss their appointments, equates to a large revenue stream.
People miss their appointments because they ask you is Wednesday at 3pm six months from now is good. Sure? People also hate going to the dentist.
